Back in 2005 I was a still a full time singer-songwriter. And I was watching the onset of “digital”, destroy the old model of making money with music. I was also getting fed up with being told “Wow, that’s great! Keep going and you might get lucky!”
I realised I want to be the master of my own destiny, and having always wanted to have my own business, I decided to find a simple service business. After looking around, I found a business model based on a successful American franchise model, 1800 got junk? and so in 2006, I started “We Clear Junk Ltd” with 1 truck, and 1 exceptional employee.
I knew about good customer service, and what I didn’t know about running a company, I learned (some things quickly, & some things slowly). With a small team of dedicated people, we grew the company from 1 truck to a fleet of 15 trucks. We are now one of the biggest “Man and Van” waste collectors in London, specialising in commercial & domestic waste away.
Having had 12 years to refine, improve & add other services, we now use technology and our customer service team to provide a world class customer journey, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Our next goal is to double the size of the company in London and across other cities in the UK.
